Zinc phosphate coated eaves, walls and columns
Zinc phosphate coated suspended ceiling panels
Aluminium roofs and toplight frames at the central open ceiling space
One of Kikukawa’s earliest projects with zinc phosphate coating finish. The 1600mm by 4850mm eave consists of joints covered with 19mm thick flat-bars of 250mm(W), 3.2mm thick roof and soffits both made from a single panel.
Zinc phosphate coating utilizes the natural crystalline aesthetics occurring from a chemical reaction. Thus the process of colouring the panels are an art as much as it is science.
Within this project, there are panels with varying material thickness. Regardless, Kikukawa was able to fabricate and install panels with a level of consistency.
